Numbers

I lovingly (insert sarcastic undertone) title this 2 week period as "Numbers". Numbers now seemed to run the show: 1 in 6,000...60%...40%...99.9% accuracy...1% increase in miscarriage...it was a maddening amount of numbers for someone who never worried about numbers before.

Our doctor had shared with us that this experience, no matter the outcome, would forever change how we viewed numbers. Before January 24th, if you had told me there there was a 1 in 11 million chance my airplane would go down, I would board that plane without hesitation. January 25th and onward, I might consider that "1" a little bit more.

However, I believe without a shadow of a doubt, that God also knows numbers. He is the author and designer of our lives. He knows the number of hairs on our head and the number of days we will walk this earth. I know He is also greater than numbers. Knowing this, we chose to place our hope in the 40% chance that Sunny did not have T18 and we prayed hard for that 40%. We prayed that God would perform a miracle and that Sunny would be healthy from head to toe. We prayed, fervently, but we also chose to trust in God's plan knowing that whatever valley or miracle it might bring us to - it was perfectly designed for a reason.

Psalm 139:13-14 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

Luke 12:7 "Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
